Skipping Stone Studs by Caitlyn Chapman

$35.00

These cuties are fine (.999) silver, melted into a ball, then hammered flat, with texture. They shimmer nicely and are the perfect minimal stud for everyday wear. Because they are fine silver, they won’t tarnish. The posts and backings are sterling silver. Texture and shape can vary between them because they are lovingly handmade!

Caitlyn Chapman is a jewelry artist based in Victoria BC. She loves creating pieces that are bold yet very wearable, with elegant West Coast vibes. Each piece is formed with texture & flow intended to evoke feelings of the surf, earth, flora & fauna of our beautiful coastal home, in an abstract and thought-provoking way. She started her journey by working on her BFA, changing to technical photography school after 2 years. She stumbled into the world of jewellery when she inherited her Grandma’s beautiful diamond ring. It badly needed a new setting, so as she researched next steps, she found herself learning all about jewellery. She fell in love with the process, the history, the human relationship with jewellery, and soon sought to learn everything she could about it, eventually taking classes and investing in equipment. Her spouse, Mark, has also joined her efforts in jewelry making.
