Ariana Zimmermann
Ariana’s paintings revolve around wildlife, usually featuring animal portraiture. Through her artwork, Ariana seeks to explore the archetypal, symbolic powers of nature and how humans relate to these energies. Her work often features ethereal and magical elements, offering an uplifting image of the world as interconnected, powerful, and wholesome.
Ariana feels a deep kinship with the essences of animals, plants, and land, and sees these as medicines that have the capacity to house and heal the human heart. Her mixed media paintings blend the realms of conservation and visionary art, and her style can best be categorized as abstracted-realism. Ariana is an emerging self-taught artist based on Vancouver Island, and her art was most recently featured in the Sooke Fine Arts Show and the Ladysmith Art Gallery.
